How do we prepare a generation to thrive with AI, while keeping them safe?

Made in T&T. Ready for what’s next.
The opportunity
In homework, group chats and everyday decisions, young people are already encountering AI. Knowing how to use it well takes practical skills, independent thinking and clear boundaries.
AI Ready.TT is a locally built AI literacy and safeguarding programme for secondary students and teachers. The ambition is simple: help young people question, create and make informed choices, with teachers equipped to lead.
From idea to programme
As Programme Director, I lead delivery, partnerships and engagement, bringing programme, creative and communications leadership together from the beginning.
Working alongside technical lead James Barber of UX Caribbean, the programme connects research, curriculum development, teacher support and a learning platform. The identity gives that ambition a confident, approachable voice: ready, not scared.

Stage one / Currently in development
The Caribbean AI Youth Survey is the first stage of AI Ready.TT, and the stage we’re currently working on.
We’re developing the survey to understand how young people use and feel about AI, what they trust and where they need support. Those insights will help shape the curriculum and teacher training around real experiences in Trinidad & Tobago.

The first year / Planned delivery
A national baseline survey targeting 800+ students, alongside teachers and headteachers, to understand what is happening locally.
Six practical modules, a classroom pilot targeting 400+ students, and training, certification and support for 40 teachers.
A student challenge focused on local problems, followed by an openly shared curriculum and findings to support wider learning.
These are programme targets, not completed results. School participation and delivery dates are being agreed.
Built here. Backed internationally.
